Based in South London, vocalist Julian Ashaye passed through ’70s smooth soul, the ultra-sweet reggae style of lover’s rock, and a stint singing in a jazz-funk band. He recorded a number of hits in the 1990's for the compact but lustrous V4Visions imprint.
