A singer and songwriter of country-informed adult pop, Caitlyn Smith released her solo debut in 2001 when she was only 15 years old. She went on to a Billboard-charting solo career, hitting 24 on the Folk Albums chart with 2018's Starfire. At the same time, she established herself as a successful songwriter-for-hire along the way, penning songs for the likes of Meghan Trainor and John Legend, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, James Bay, and the TV series Nashville, among others. In 2020, she scored a Top 40 Country Airplay hit with "I Can't," featuring Old Dominion off Supernova, before returning with her third EP, 2022's High.
