Before launching her solo career with the 2017 EP Monstre d’amour, French singer-songwriter Clara Luciani performed with La Femme, Hologram, and Nouvelle Vague. In 2016, she collaborated with rapper Nekfeu on “Avant tu riais,” from his Top 10 sophomore album, Cyborg. Luciani appeared on the soundtrack for Nouvelle Vague leader Marc Collins’ acclaimed 2020 film, Le Choc du futur—an homage to the female pioneers of synthesizer music. In 2020, she recorded Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood’s classic “Summer Wine” with Franz Ferdinand singer Alex Kapranos.
