Birmingham-based folk singer/songwriter Katherine Priddy uses her gentle, hypnotic voice to tell solemn stories in the vein of Nick Drake or John Martyn. Growing up, Priddy took part in both her school choir and orchestra, taking that invaluable experience further in her teenage years by teaching herself the guitar. Her talent did not go unnoticed, as she was entered into the Next Brit Thing competition in 2014, where she made it to the finals, giving her the chance to play at the O2 Arena in London. This opened doors for Priddy, granting her support slots for artists such as Vashti Bunyan, Scott Matthews, and John Smith. She took a brief break from performing to study English Literature, returning with her debut EP, Wolf, in 2019.
