David Burd, also known as Lil Dicky, is a rapper, comedian, and actor with a fast-paced flow similar to Twista and a comedic/absurdist style like the Lonely Island crew. At first, he pursued rapping to break into television and film writing. However, after posting his song "Ex-Boyfriend" in 2013 and receiving one million views in a week, he realized his dream was coming true. His debut album, Professional Rapper, debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 and topped the charts for Top Rap, Comedy, and Independent Albums. He went viral again in 2018 with the Chris Brown-assisted "Freaky Friday," which became an international smash. Two years later, Burd co-produced and starred in the acclaimed autobiographical comedy series Dave. Penith: The Dave Soundtrack, which featured music from all three seasons of the show, appeared in 2024.
