Duo Madison Avenue became, with one release ("Don't Call Me Baby"), the first dance act to top the Australian charts and the first Australian dance act to top the U.K. charts. Madison Avenue is Andy Van (producer/writer) and Cheyne Coates (singer/lyricist). Andy Van was previously known as a high-profile Melbourne DJ and producer and co-owner of Vicious Vinyl records, a label specializing in creating and distributing dance/house releases. Van was also in demand as a remixer (Tina Arena, CDB) and won an ARIA (Australia's Grammys) for his work on "Coma" by Pendulum.
