As co-vocalist of the multi-platinum alternative metal outfit Linkin Park, singer/songwriter, rapper, and producer Mike Shinoda balanced the late Chester Bennington's tortured, emotional wail with his assured delivery and confident bars, becoming one of the more recognizable voices of the era. With Linkin Park, Shinoda issued a string of chart-topping albums from 2000 to 2017, winning a pair of Grammy Awards in the process. Aside from Linkin Park, he went on to score films and video games while releasing hip-hop-centric efforts as Fort Minor (2005's The Rising Tied) and under his own name (2018's Post Traumatic and 2020's Dropped Frames series). Shinoda also produced for the likes of the X-Ecutioners, Lupe Fiasco, Cypress Hill, Styles of Beyond, and One OK Rock.
