A propulsive and forward-thinking metalcore unit from Birmingham, England, Oceans Ate Alaska emerged in the early 2010s. One of the genre's more stylistically diverse acts, the band's 2015 Fearless Records debut, Lost Isles, combined traditional post-hardcore aggression with a keen sense of melodicism and significant progressive tendencies. The group continued refining their sound on subsequent efforts Hikari (2017) and Disparity (2022).
