South London jazz and soul singer Poppy Ajudha is versatile enough to lend her vocals to disco and electronic cuts, but she shines brightest on her original jazz-infused solo tracks. Keenly creative in her teen years, Ajudha began writing poetry at age 16. She joined a local youth club workshop, STEEZ, where she met fellow musicians and formed the band. From there she went on to collaborate with numerous other artists, including Tom Misch, Kojey Radical, and Gilles Peterson. Her debut EP, Femme, arrived in 2018.
