Named for the courier service that allowed them to trade song ideas while living in different locales, the Postal Service is a long-distance indie-electronic collaboration between Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello. Adding to the project's star status is Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis and former Tattle Tale member Jen Wood, both of whom contributed backing vocals on the group's acclaimed, platinum-selling 2003 debut, Give Up.
