British hard rock/post-grunge quartet Stone Broken formed in 2013 in the historic industrial town of Walsall in England's West Midlands, not far from Birmingham. Singer/guitarist Rich Moss had been in a band before, but had quit music four years previously, following the tragic death of a bandmate from alcoholism. Working as a data analyst, he got the itch to start making music again and began jamming with longtime friend Robyn Haycock (drums). When they met bassist Kieron Conroy and lead guitarist Chris Davis, Stone Broken was born as the four bonded over a shared love of classic Black Country metal (Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin) and modern American acts like Black Stone Cherry, Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman, Halestorm, and Alter Bridge.
