Nocturnes

‘Nocturnes’ is a collection of electronic, ambient soundscapes influenced by my dreams and inspired by the enigmatic thrill of night-time. During the Covid-19 lockdown I began to write down all my vivid dreams and decided to soundtrack them to create a full body of work that would take the listener on an ethereal, cosmic journey through the adventures and the fears inside my mind. Dreams are the gateway to the unconscious storehouse of ideas, memories, desires and emotions. They often reveal things we repress within our waking thoughts and actions, and allow us to experience deeper truths about ourselves and the society we live in. This collection embraces those truths – not shying away from darker themes of melancholy and regret, while also rejoicing in the beautiful freedom of limitless possibility and promise. From the frenetic urgency of ‘Scratched Nights’ to the contemplative stillness of ‘The Twilight Zone’, I invite you to experience the sonic tapestry of this nocturnal landscape.
